Sterling Silver Care & Maintenance

Handcrafted from solid sterling silver, DiDA pieces are designed to be lifelong companions. Because silver naturally reacts with air, moisture, and skin oils over time, oxidation and tarnishing are normal processes. Following proper care habits will keep your pieces bright and slow down tarnishing.

Everyday Protection Guidelines

Avoid Contact with Liquids: Keep your jewelry away from water, salt water, chlorine, hair products, perfume, soaps, makeup, self-tanner, lotions, oils, and household cleaners.

Remove Before Daily Routines: Take off your pieces before showering, bathing, swimming, or washing your hands.

Remove Before Exercising: Sweat accelerates tarnishing and can degrade the surface of the metal. Always take your jewelry off prior to workouts.

Store Safely: Prevent surface scratches and impact damage by storing pieces individually in a soft cloth pouch, an airtight ziplock bag, or their original box.

Safe At-Home Cleaning Methods

Mix plain white toothpaste with baking soda and a few drops of water to create a mild lather. Softly rub the paste over the textured silver to lift surface tarnish, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely with a soft cloth.

Third-Party Alterations

We strongly advise against having your jewelry modified, resized, or serviced by outside jewelers. Structural changes made by third parties alter the original craft of the piece and void any support from our team. We cannot accept responsibility for damage or changes in quality resulting from external alterations.
